What makes VIBAe shoes so comfortable?

VIBAe shoes are designed for all-day comfort. The removable Carbon Step™ footbed, lightweight and flexible sole, premium natural materials and carefully designed fit allow the shoes to gradually adapt to your feet while providing excellent support.

How do VIBAe shoes fit?

VIBAe shoes are best taken true to size. We do not recommend sizing up, as the leather softens and gives slightly with wear. If the shoes already feel roomy when new, they may become too loose over time. If you are between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the smaller size.

Why do VIBAe shoes feel firmer when they are new?

The premium leather gradually moulds to your feet as you wear the shoes. This makes them softer over time while maintaining their excellent fit. That is why we do not recommend buying VIBAe shoes too large.

Can I replace the footbed?

Yes. All VIBAe models we offer feature a removable footbed that can easily be replaced once worn out. You can also swap it for a warm wool insole during the colder months if you prefer.

Can I use my own orthotics?

In many cases, yes. Because the original footbed is removable, custom orthotics can often be used instead. Whether they fit properly depends on the shape and thickness of your orthotics, so we recommend trying them in-store whenever possible.

Are VIBAe shoes suitable for wide feet?

Yes. Most VIBAe models are very suitable for average to wider feet. They are generally less suitable for very narrow feet.

Are VIBAe shoes suitable for a high instep?

This depends on the model. Most sandal styles and the Zuma are less suitable for people with a high instep. If you are unsure about the fit, we are happy to offer personal advice.

Can I wear VIBAe shoes without socks?

Absolutely. VIBAe shoes are designed to be worn comfortably with or without socks and are especially popular barefoot during the warmer months.

Are VIBAe shoes suitable for long walks?

Closed models, such as the Zuma, are very suitable for longer walks thanks to their supportive fit and comfortable construction. The open-back styles are also comfortable but may become slightly more tiring during extended walks because the heel is not enclosed.

How should I care for my VIBAe shoes?

We recommend protecting your VIBAe shoes with a suitable protective spray before wearing them. Smooth leather generally only needs protection and should only be treated with leather wax if it becomes dry over time. Suede is best protected with a water- and stain-repellent spray.

Where are VIBAe shoes made?

All VIBAe shoes we offer are carefully made in Portugal using high-quality vegetable-tanned leather.
