Puraai

Puraai is a young Italian brand founded in 2020 by two creative designers driven by the idea of combining style, sustainability, and soul. During a trip to Japan, they became inspired by a small symbol on a recyclable plastic bottle – the Japanese character for “recyclable.”

That moment sparked the idea for their brand philosophy.
The name “Puraai” merges two Japanese words: pura (plastic) and ai (love). It reflects their belief that plastic, when used and reused responsibly, can become a symbol of renewal and care. Love for design, love for the planet, love for conscious creation.
Puraai’s collection takes inspiration from classic 1970s sneakers, reinterpreted with a retro aesthetic and modern sustainable materials.

Every pair is handcrafted in Italy using vegetable-tanned leather, recycled fabrics, and eco-friendly soles. Puraai stands for clarity, responsibility, and timeless design – proving that true style can be both beautiful and ethical.
