Fiorentini + Baker was founded in 2001 by designer Deborah Baker and her then-partner, architect Paolo Fiorentini. United by their passion for form, function, and craftsmanship, they created a footwear label that soon achieved cult status around the world.
The vision behind Fiorentini + Baker is simple yet powerful: to design creatively crafted, handmade shoes that are built to last and gain authenticity and beauty with every step.

Deborah Baker draws inspiration from a wide range of influences – from vintage furniture, iconic films, and innovative architecture to Woodstock, festivals, Burning Man, troubadours, Frank Gehry, Fellini, Pasolini, and the free-spirited energy of the 1970s.
The result is the unmistakable Fiorentini + Baker look: boots made from raw, textured leather (often marked by barbed-wire scratches from the hides themselves), robust yet refined, with the brand’s signature stitched soles and an authenticity that deepens beautifully over time.

Every pair is meticulously crafted in a small family-run workshop in Italy’s Le Marche region, where generations – from grandparents to grandchildren – work side by side. This artisanal process ensures that no two pairs are ever exactly alike.
