MOMA, like many of our shoe brands, comes from the heart of Italy’s Marche region, where shoemaking is a family tradition. The brand was founded by brothers Gigio and Daniele Gironacci, who approach shoe design as a form of art — experimenting with leather, color, and treatments until each pair has its own personality. With MOMA, you’ll never see a smooth, flawless finish. The shoes always have that lived-in edge: washed leather, soft toes, brushed suede, handcrafted patinas — as if they’ve already had a life. It’s intentional. MOMA wants shoes to feel familiar from day one. Everything is handmade in small runs, locally, by artisans working with dyes, brushes, and leather — not machines that make every pair identical. MOMA fits perfectly within the LUUKS collection because, like MOMA, we love that each shoe is just a little different — with small imperfections that add true character.
